What a Skin Attaches To
A skin belongs to a unit, not to your account. Two panels read for this site settle that:
- Subzero's card prints the rarity label Arcane, a corner chip reading
CRIMSON ECLIPSE SKIN, and the line Crimson Eclipse's weapon · Equipped. It also prints You Own 2x, so the same cosmetic can be held more than once. - Absolute Illusion's panel is headed Viewing skins for ‘Absolute Illusion’ and lists four skins that belong to that unit.
The practical consequence: a skin you have not equipped is not doing anything, and a skin for a unit you do not own has nothing to sit on. Check the Skins tab before you farm for a look, and check that you own the unit before you spend on it.
The Five Skins Read So Far
Two of the five print their own source line on the skin card, a third has its source printed on the update log's shop row, and the remaining two are named without one. Nothing below is inferred from the art.
-
SubzeroArcane · Crimson Eclipse
A weapon skin for Crimson Eclipse, the forged scissor kit, with cold blue-white effects on its swings. The route read for it comes from one creator: he says it dropped in Tidal High Rise on Nightmare and puts the rate at 2% in his caption, adding that he has not tested other difficulties. The reward strip in his frames never rendered its rows legibly, so the 2% is his figure, not a panel reading.
The full panel read is on the Subzero page, checked 21 October 2026.
-
Golden ThroneLYTH · SHINY
The only one of these five that prints a stat line: +10% DMG, +5% Crit, described as “A golden blade for the one above heaven”. It comes from the Season 1 Pass, premium tier 50. The panel printed 275 minted at the time of the read and the line “Every copy gets its own number”, so copies are numbered rather than identical.
Panel read on 27 October 2026, recorded on the Absolute Illusion page.
-
Crimson CoffinArcane · no stat line
A blood-red blade and a darker coffin with no stat line. It comes from the Season 1 Pass free track at tier 50, or at a 25% chance every time you get Absolute Illusion — the only skin read so far with a second route. The panel printed 1,238 minted.
Read 27 October 2026. The pass route is free, which makes it the cheapest of the five.
-
Galaxy Mirageshop
Listed on the update log's highlight row as a shop skin, and it appears in Absolute Illusion's skin panel. Its price was stated in a creator's narration but never printed on a panel, so this page does not put a number on it.
Read 27 October 2026; price still unread.
-
Kyoka Bladeequipped, source unread
The fourth entry in Absolute Illusion's skin list, shown with the
ONbadge, meaning it was the equipped one in that frame. Its own “how to get” line was never opened, so nothing here claims a source for it.Read 27 October 2026.
‘Shiny’ Is a Tag, Not a Unit
A large share of the searches that reach this site add the word shiny — “shiny subzero”, “what is shiny subzero” — and the word does exist in the game, just not as a fighter. Golden Throne's card prints LYTH beside SHINY, so shiny is a tag a skin can carry, alongside its rarity. Subzero's card prints Arcane and no shiny tag.
That is also the answer to the “is Subzero a shiny unit” question: Subzero is a skin, and no source read for this site describes a shiny unit or a shiny rarity tier. If a skin you own prints both tags, the second line is the tag to read, not a new class of fighter.
One caveat belongs here, because it cuts against the word ‘cosmetic’. A studio Discord post quoted on the Tidal High Rise page, shown on screen in an 18 October recording, said “Shiny variants are cosmetic only”. Golden Throne is tagged SHINY and prints +10% DMG and +5% Crit anyway. Both readings are kept here: the tag is cosmetic by the studio's own statement, and the one shiny skin this site has opened a card for carries a stat line. Read the card on the skin you are about to spend on rather than trusting either rule.
How to Equip a Skin
The route is the same for all five, and the panel tells you when it has worked.
- Open the Backpack. The header reads
BackpackandManage your items, with a loadout counter on the left. - Switch to the
Skinstab. It sits in the row next toAccessoriesand holds cosmetics rather than gear. - Select the skin. The right-hand panel fills with the name, the rarity tag, the unit chip and, where the game prints one, the source line and the stat line.
- Press
Equip. The header readsEquip Skin; once it is live the button pair under the item changes toUnequipandCopies. - Check the weapon in a run, not the menu. The panel confirms the state; the blade model confirms the effect.
Which One Is Worth Chasing
The decision is shorter than the list, because only one skin changes a number:
- If you want damage: Golden Throne. It is the only one of the five printing +10% DMG, +5% Crit, and it sits behind the paid pass track at tier 50. Read the pass price on the pass screen before deciding, because the skin is the reward rather than the thing you buy.
- If you want the cheapest route: Crimson Coffin. The free pass track reaches it at tier 50, and pulling Absolute Illusion also has a 25% chance to pay one. That is two routes to the same cosmetic, and neither needs Robux.
- If you want a specific look: check the Skins tab first. Subzero has a copy counter, so a skin you already own costs nothing but an Equip press. Farming Tidal High Rise Nightmare for a cosmetic is a choice, not a requirement.
- If you are buying Galaxy Mirage for stats: do not. No stat line has been read on it, and its price has never appeared on a panel.
What This Page Could Not Read
- The drop rate and pity for Subzero. The 2% is the creator's caption; no reward strip row was legible.
- Whether Subzero drops on difficulties other than Nightmare. He says he does not know, and no other surface read for this site lists the skin at all.
- Galaxy Mirage's price. Stated in narration, never printed.
- Where Kyoka Blade comes from. The card's source line was never opened.
- Whether any other skins exist. Five have been read. This page does not claim that is the full set: open your own Skins tab and read the list your account renders, which is the only complete list available.
