What Evil Reflection Is
Evil Reflection is the second card marked NEW in the Create Lobby list, and its panel reads Evil Reflection [NIGHTMARE] with the mode line Raid [Act 1]. The official description is more specific about the fight than about any other part of the update: you fight your own reflection, beat your Evil Twin, and that unlock is what the listing ties to Solar Radiance.
| Panel field | Nightmare reading |
|---|---|
| Mode line | Raid [Act 1], printed on the panel under the mode name |
| Payout | $29K Coins and 580 crystals, before any material row |
| Material rows | 2.5%, 7.5%, 15% and 20% x1-2; the first three print a pity counter |
| Clear time | One creator reports one to two minutes per clear, against 16:50 for a recorded Tidal High Rise run |
That clear-time difference is the practical reason to start here: the raid is the cheap half of Solar Radiance, and the expensive half is the Shadow Monarch work the two recordings describe.
The Drop Table and Its Pity Counters
Nightmare prints four chance rows under the payout. The 7.5% row was hovered on camera, which is how Hunter's Star and its Cha Hae-In badge text are known here:
| Row | Drop rate | Pity counter | What the panel says |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2.5% | Pity 3/30 | The chase row, and the one the listing's Solar Radiance sentence points at. Tooltip: LYTH, “Unlocks Solar Radiance in one of your character slots” |
| 2 | 7.5% | Pity 3/18 | Hunter's Star, ‘a Cha Hae-In's badge, used to … Solar Radiance’ |
| 3 | 15% | Pity 0/8 | Material row |
| 4 | 20%, x1-2 | None printed | Material row, two units possible |
Those are the 18 October 16:47Z readings, and they are not the strip this page carried before. The earlier recording from the same day — the one this page was first built on — prints 2% with a 50-clear counter, Pity 1/8 on the 7.5% row, Pity 0/8 on the 15% row and no counter on the 20% row. The 19 October recording matches the later set, so this page now leads with 2.5% and 30.
Nobody has read the strip after the 22 October build, and a comment under the 18 October showcase claims the counter is 20 now. Treat 30 as the last printed value, not a permanent rule, and read your own strip before you settle in.
How Many Clears to Expect
The counters turn the raid into a plan. This table takes each row at its worst case, where every drop misses until pity pays out, and prices a run at three and a half minutes — one recording reaches the boss wave at 03:30:
| Row | Worst-case clears | Time at 3 and a half minutes per clear |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5% row | 30 | About 1 hour 45 minutes |
| 7.5% row | 18 | About 1 hour 5 minutes |
| 15% row | 8 | About 30 minutes |
| 20% x1-2 row | No counter printed | — |
The rows drop together, so the ceiling is the slowest single row rather than the sum: thirty clears, under two hours, brings one guaranteed hit on every counter. At a flat 2.5% the chance of no natural drop inside thirty clears is about 47% (0.97530), so roughly half of the players who finish the counter get their copy from the counter rather than from luck. Treat the numbers as planning maths on printed counters, not measured results.
What Solar Radiance Is, and What the Sources Disagree On
Three surfaces describe Solar Radiance and they do not say the same thing, so here is what each one actually shows:
| Surface | What it says |
|---|---|
| Official listing | The raid unlocks Solar Radiance, in the same sentence as the Evil Twin fight |
| Title panel | A combat title reads ‘Clear 8 runs on Hard or higher as Solar Radiance without dying’, with bonuses of +16%, +15%, +8% and +3% on icon lines |
| Creator recording one | Solar Radiance is a light-attribute weapon whose awakening is tied to a maxed Shadow Lord, and maxing both unlocks a duo ultimate called Monarch and Hunter |
| Creator recording two | Solar Radiance behaves like the piece that awakens Sung Jin-Woo, and the raid takes one to two minutes |
The later recordings settle most of it. The reward tooltip prints LYTH over the sentence “Unlocks Solar Radiance in one of your character slots”, which is the slot language characters use rather than materials, and creators name the kit Cha Hae-In. Both creators still put the same bottleneck in front of it, a fully evolved Shadow Monarch, so the dispute was about the label rather than the cost. This page therefore treats Solar Radiance as a Lyth character and Shadow Monarch as the part that decides when it becomes usable; the drop row, the nine-row awakening bill and the duo ultimate now live on the Solar Radiance page.
The Awakening Order, Step by Step
The order below follows what is verified and what is not. Steps that come from a panel are marked; the ones that come from creator commentary are described as their claim, because neither recording walks the full panel sequence on screen.
- Farm the raid to the 30-clear counter. The 2.5% row and Hunter's Star both come from Evil Reflection, and the counters pause the farm at a known point instead of an open-ended grind.
- Max Shadow Monarch first. Both recordings name this as the gate: the Monarch Path, Night Tree and skill tree work all have to be finished before Solar Radiance can be awakened.
- Awaken Solar Radiance. According to the recordings this spends the Evil Reflection materials, so do not sell or convert those rows before the awakening is done.
- Take the duo ultimate once both are complete. Recording one shows a Monarch and Hunter ultimate that becomes available when Shadow Lord is maxed and Solar Radiance is awakened; treat the name and the trigger as that creator's claim until your own panel shows it.
- Claim the title afterwards. The Wifey title asks for eight Hard-or-higher clears as Solar Radiance without dying, which is a separate objective from the awakening itself.
The Titles These Runs Feed
Two of the Update 4 titles read straight off the titles panel ask for clears as the new weapons. The conditions below are the panel text, and the bonus rows are the four icon lines under each card:
| Title | Condition | Bonuses |
|---|---|---|
| Miss Potential | Kill 30 bosses and 800 enemies as Crimson Eclipse on Medium or higher without dying | +17%, +12%, +5%, +4% |
| Wifey | Clear 8 runs on Hard or higher as Solar Radiance without dying | +16%, +15%, +8%, +3% |
Both ask for no-death runs, so the efficient order is to learn the mode before chasing the title: a Wifey attempt that dies on the eighth run costs the whole set. The panel shows progress bars for both, so you can see how far into the count you are before starting a new attempt. The rest of the title table, including the older titles, is on the titles page.
Before You Grind: The Rates Are Moving
The studio's own Discord post, shown on screen in one recording, says the new mode is being fixed with more coins and better drop chances and pity, and that Season Pass rewards are being buffed. It also states that Shiny variants give no extra buffs and are cosmetic only, which matters if you are chasing a shiny copy for power rather than looks.
It has already happened once inside a single day: the 18 October morning strip printed 2% with 50 clears, and the evening strip printed 2.5% with 30. The unit row and its counter are therefore the numbers most likely to move again, and they are also the numbers that decide whether the farm is an evening or a week. If Solar Radiance is the goal, start the Shadow Monarch work now — that gate is independent of drop rates — and re-read the raid strip before you settle in for thirty clears.
